This is when my applications are due, and this is when I will be DONE with the insane amount of projects I’ve put on myself to make my portfolio stronger. Above is a mock-up of an iPhone app for Mojitoner (a product I made up a while back). You pick the mixers (your skin problems), shake, and voila! a signature cocktail of all-natural, adult-beverage-inspired facial products specific to your skin’s needs. This is one of 6 campaigns I’m designing for my application to Virginia Commonwealth’s Brandcenter for Art Direction. I already have a massive portfolio from all my work at Garnet & Black, but none of it is ad-based. Their application isn’t just a show-us-your-work deal. They dole out specific assignments for each applicant to complete to more accurately evaluate the breadth of one’s creativity and ingenuity. It’s brilliant, really.
